Villa La Vera is located in a quiet area of Torreblanca, Fuengirola. A pleasant 10 minute walk down the hill will take you to local restaurants, bars, well maintained beaches and shops. There is also a pharmacy and mini-markets for all the essentials! Taxi to Fuengirola is just 5 minutes from the villa. Buses and trains are excellent, cheap and reliable.
The nearest bus stops from the villa is at the bottom of the hill. You can catch the regular bus service which takes you through the costal towns towards Malaga and in the opposite direction through the costal towns towards Marbella.
The nearest train station is Torreblanca which is a 15 minute walk. A regular service every 20 minutes between Fuengirola and Malaga city centre including Malaga Airport.

Local aqua parks - Mijas Costa and Torremolinos

Fuengirola is a 5 minute taxi drive, but a pleasant 20 minute stroll along the continuous promenade and sandy beaces suitable for children, offering such amusements as pedalos and other activities

There is an aqua park at Mijas Costa, which is less than 10 minutes by taxi. There is another aqua park at Torremolinos, which is less than 15 minutes away.
Benalmadena Marina (twice voted world's best Marina). See the beautiful boats and enjoy the beauty of the Marina. There are plenty of shops, bars and restaurants.
Torremolinos is only a 15 minute taxi ride. Head for the San Miguel square where you will find plenty of shops, bars, pubs, restaurants and live music at night. A really lovely atmosphere with usually live music in the square.

Mijas pueblo is approx 15 minutes by car, Marbella is around 20 minutes and the nearest international airport is Malaga, which is just 15 minutes by car.

The holiday towns of the costa's (Fuengirola, Malaga, Torremolinos, Benalmadena) are all within easy reach by car, bus or train. Marbella, Puerto Banus and Mijas are also easily accessible by car or by bus.

There are miles of clubs, bars, cafes, restaurants and fine sandy beaches along the coast. For the cultural visitor, the highlights are the beautiful cities of Seville, Cordoba and Granada where there are some of the highest mountains in Europe (including Europe's southernmost skiing resort, Sierra Nevada - snow permitting!)

Torreblanca and Fuengirola

Torreblanca is actually part of Fuengirola, This is why it is difficult to find Torreblanca on a map as it is usually listed under Fuengirola.
Fuengirola Sunday market has moved  to a new location, about 1 km from the marina. Open 9am - 2pm in winter and 7pm - 2am in summer. Pick up those bargains then relax outside a bar and watch the world go by.

Tivoli world (family adventure park). Arroyo de la Miel, Benalmadena is just a 15 minute drive. The cable cars are also situated here. About a 15 minute slow ride to the near top of the mountain where you can get off and enjoy breath taking views.

Torreblanca promenade stretches as far as Fuengirola, which is about a 20 minute walk. There are plenty of shops, bars, restaurants along the promenade. Sun loungers and parasols can be hired cheaply all along the the beaches for the day .

Beaches on the Costa del Sol are maintained to a high standard. Free public showers are provided all along the beaches. There are also pedalos, sun beds, sun shades  widely available. Whichever beach you're on there is always a bar or restaurant very close by! The closest beach is just a 15 minute walk from the villa.
